This is a hands-on workshop covering topics such as vital signs, body condition scoring, common issues, types of wounds, tips on when to call the vet. Participants can practice taking vital signs, bandaging legs, etc. There will be limited spaces available so please register early.

About the event


How comfortable are you taking your horse's vital signs? Are you confident taking your horse's digital pulse and what can that tell you? What do you do when your horse has comes in from the pasture limping or bleeding? Learn some key information on what to do first and when you need to call your vet. Are you familiar with body condition scoring and why it matters? Learn this and more at our horse health clinic.


We'll have some quiet horses for you to practice your skills in vitals and basic wound care.


There will also be time for Q & A with staff from Finger Lakes Equine Practice and some take-away reference sheets to keep in your barn.
